The Analyst Planner ensures efficiency and timeliness of service through the analysis of MTD's bus routes and schedules, reports statistics to the National Transit Database (NTD) pertaining to operation, helps manage MTD's Computer Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Locator (CAD/AVL) planning database, and interprets data for internal and external presentations.
The Analyst Planner reports to the Operations Director and works with the Service Planner as part of the Planning team.
This is a salaried staff position with an excellent benefit package, which includes a health insurance and a retirement plan.
Education Requirements A bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience in planning, engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience Requirements A minimum of two years of experience in a work setting, preferably a planning or transportation organization, is preferred.
Hold, or obtain within six months of hire, an Illinois Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and airbrake endorsement is required.
Knowledge of and ability to use ArcGIS mapping software.
