The Internal Auditor:
Examines department activities for compliance with management plans and policies.
Inspects accounting systems to determine their efficiency and protective value.
Analyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of effort, fraud, or lack of compliance with management policies and procedures.
Prepares and submits audit findings and makes recommendations to management.
Conducts special audits for management such as those required to discover mechanics of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention.
Must have knowledge of Information Systems Audit Standards Practice and Information Systems Security Control Practices.
Must have previous experience evaluating IS/IT policies and procedures. Including hardware and software platforms, network and telecommunications infrastructure.
Must have experience analyzing and evaluating logical, physical, environmental, data validation; processing and balancing controls; including Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and testing process.
Must have Information Systems Development and Acquisition Development experience.
Must have proven ability to employ loss prevention techniques and investigation skills.
Mush have the ability to seek out financial fraud and organize evidence for criminal prosecution.
Performs detailed financial internal audits, reports finding and make recommendations for continued improvement initiatives.
Desired Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Must have a minimum of 5 years internal auditing experience in a corporate environment
CIA and CFE certification desirable
CISA certification preferred
Forensic Accounting experience desired, but not required
Ability to work flexible hours as needs require.
Prior experience utilizing a risk assessment approach is desirable.
Extensive domestic and international travel is required.
Bi-lingual fluency in Spanish desired, but not required
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook (AS400, Database Management Systems knowledge is a plus).
Exceptional driving record and valid drivers license
Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
